About
Ken Grier, founder of De-Still Creative, is an award winning marketer who specialises in creative luxury brand building.
He spent the last two decades driving forward brands such as: The Macallan, Highland Park and The Famous Grouse at drinks brand owner Edrington, before founding De-Still Creative at the end of 2018.
His outgoing role was as Creative Director of The Macallan where Grier’s legacy was developing The Macallan into a brand worth £3bn, taking it to the position of number one single malt scotch, by value, in the world.
In the course of his tenure he built partnerships with brands as varied as: the Bond movie franchise; Lalique crystal; as well as with world class artists such as Sir Peter Blake; globally recognised photographers such as Annie Leibovitz and with fashion firms from Dunhill to Panerai.
The work delivered exceptional growth for The Macallan as it moved from £15m profit to over £170m per year. The brand set two Guinness World Records in the process and now accounts for 38% of all whisky sold at auction, by value.
Grier conceptualised and managed the creative execution of the design and build for The Macallan’s new £140m distillery and visitor experience, which opened in mid 2018, reaching over 500m people and generating over £150m of PR and social media coverage.
At the end of 2018 Grier founded De-Still Creative to bring his core skills of global brand strategy development, creative and highly differentiated brand building, category leading innovation and partnering to a wider audience.
He draws on a network of hand picked collaborators and proven freelance talent, where necessary; building bespoke teams to suit each individual project and specific client needs to guarantee success.
